Why the photo route is slower than it sounds
Photo-based custom figures need a person to interpret your pictures, sculpt a likeness, send a proof, take your notes and revise. Every round trip adds days, and you're describing changes in words to someone who has never met you.
Designing it yourself skips all of that. You're not describing a face, you're choosing one, and you can see the result immediately.

Aim for recognisable, not photographic
A stylised figure doesn't work by copying a face exactly. It works by getting a handful of signals right: hair silhouette, skin tone, the shape of the eyes, and the clothes the person actually wears.
People who know you will recognise the figure from those four things long before they notice anything else. If you're stuck on the face, move on and come back — the hair and fit will often carry it.

Build the version of you that people picture
Most people, designing themselves, reach for their smartest outfit. It's almost always the wrong call. The figure that gets recognised is the one wearing what you wear on a normal Tuesday.
The same goes for extras. A chain you always have on, the glasses you actually wear, the shoes you live in — those read as you far more than anything you'd only wear occasionally.

What you get at the end
Your design is made in premium vinyl, hand-painted, with a soft-touch matte finish and a weighted base, then shipped in a matte collector's box with a numbered card. Production is three to four weeks, then shipping on top.
Because each one is hand-finished, expect small differences in paint depth and edges. That's the nature of a hand-finished object rather than a defect.

Can I make figures of other people?
Yes. Design them in the builder the same way and ship straight to their address at checkout. If you're not sure of their style, a gift card lets them build their own.
Will it look exactly like the preview?
What you design is what we make. Because each figure is hand-finished, expect small differences in paint depth, edges and texture.
Is it a toy?
No, it's a display piece — made to sit on a shelf rather than to be played with.
